Well here we are onto episode 5 and it has revealed so many secrets that I’m not even sure where to begin. Ha! Yes I do.  I think the major secret which wasn’t a secret to anyone as soon as they saw them together was Alex and Maggie. To many fans this is what they have been waiting for. Just roll the tape

That indeed was a very beautiful and powerful coming out speech. Honest, direct and so very Alex. Alex being vulnerable and revealing a part of herself that she didn’t even realise until Maggie made her think about it. Alex, the brave, smart woman who found intimacy with a man to be daunting – the same woman that shows no fear when she goes up against aliens. What a character. Alex thinking about Maggie to the point of spacing out when Winn was talking to her…that’s got to give  you a clue Alex. Maggie worked out faster than Alex but then Maggie has already come to terms with who she is.

The bad guys of the week just seemed superfluous to the storyline – well they weren’t but it seemed that way because of what was happened to Alex and Maggie, Mon-El (Mike) and Kara, Lena and Kara / Supergirl, Lena and Winn, Winn and James – it was all about relationships. I have to mention the bad guys who were not very bright in going up against the wishes of the Cadmus scientist. Bad move.

Image636142319732269400Speaking of the Cadmus scientist…we now have a name for her.

Mrs Luthor (mama to Lex and Lena!)
Did anyone see that coming?  Oh dear.

Winn and Lena Luthor being geeky was so much fun. Lena is a supersmart character – although I’m not sure I trust her and whether she will be on the good guy team or not but she’s fun to watch. Winn was having a great time being geek with her.

Winn and James becoming a crime fighting team…I’m not sure this is such a great idea and once Hank finds out there will be hell to pay but let the boys do what they want.

Kara was trying so hard to make Mon-El in her image – her earthly image. Trying too hard. Mon-El is not Kara and frankly he just isn’t cut out to be an intern. Not sure what he is cut out to be but I wish they would get to it fast. I’m a little bewildered by Mon-El and why he is there.

Overall this episode was quite strong and it’s all about the relationships in this series and how they connect.
